Posted • A site with military and natural history, Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh is one of the most biodiverse places on earth.

It is a space where rare birds can be found, and new species are still being discovered. As a precursor to today’s film release on climate change and the birds of Eaglenest, here’s a photo story by Dhritiman Mukherjee, with text by Tarun Menon, to highlight some star species of the sanctuary.

Swipe to meet some of the creatures that reside in the forests of Eaglenest, and read more about them at the link in our bio.

Posted • After a long break from painting I am trying to come back on track. Started with Rufous-necked Hornbill which is onenof my fav birds. They are also found in Eglanest WL Sanctuary. are one of my favrite birds. from my trip to Latpanchor in West Bengal.

This painting is available for sale. 100% amount of sale will be donated to Singchung Bugun Village Community Reserve(SBVCR) as a small contribution for the extra ordinary work they are doing for the conservation of the globally threatened bird “Bugun Liocichla” that is only found in the small part of Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary. The bird is named after Bugun tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. Buguns have dedicated their farm lands for the conservation of Bugun Liocichla and other wildlife. I truly respect their dedication for the noble cause.

Please message me if you are interested in purchase.

The recent camera trapping exercise in the Singchung Bugun Village Community Reserve has yielded remarkable results, capturing stunning images of wildlife in a relatively small area. These findings underscore the incredible wildlife richness and biodiversity of the reserve, highlighting the effectiveness of collaborative conservation efforts and the need to continue supporting and expanding such initiatives to safeguard our precious natural heritage. Kudos to the relentless efforts of the forest department and community members.
