Mahakumbh — Where I Went, and Something Changed Within Me

I went to the Mahakumbh to witness one of the greatest gatherings of humanity ever seen. What I found was far more than a spectacle of faith.

Millions of people, countless stories, ancient traditions, and an extraordinary sense of devotion come together on the banks of the Ganga. Amidst the crowds, colours, rituals and chaos, there were moments of silence, humanity and something deeply personal.

This film is my journey through the Mahakumbh — not just as a filmmaker, but as someone trying to understand what draws millions to this sacred gathering.

This is Mahakumbh, as I experienced it.

And what better place to unwind than the Terai belt, where the diversity of wildlife and landscapes is truly unmatchable. From tigers and deer to countless birds and the rich forests and wetlands, every moment here offers something different.

Sometimes, all you need is a quiet forest, fresh air, and time to simply watch nature unfold.
