As you are aware, our Institute has been selected under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan program of MHRD, Government of India. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.
In this UBA scheme, we can apply for technology intervention/ implementation in the adopted village. There is a provision of providing Rs 1.0 lakh for each technology development and 0.50 lakh for customization of each solution.
Keeping UBA vision in mind we have adopted five villages near our Institute.
Currently, we are working on four projects in which two projects each from SCET and SMCE has been completed, third of SMCE on completion and fouth of SCE is in progress.
I am glad to inform you that our UBA work has been appreciated for active participation by Unnat Bharat Abhiyan -National Coordinating Institute- IIT Delhi.
