*Entrepreneurship Mela under Mission YUVA organised at Dadsara*

MLA Tral inaugurates event; distributes sanction letters under Mission YUVA

Pulwama, March 16:

District Administration Pulwama today organised a Potential Entrepreneurship Mela under Mission YUVA at Dadsara, Tral. The mela aimed to promote entrepreneurship among youth, facilitate onboarding under Mission YUVA, provide market linkages and showcase successful enterprises, particularly women-led ventures.

The mela was inaugurated by Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Tral Rafiq Ahmad Naik and witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth, entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups and the general public.

On the occasion, various departments including Industries, KVIB, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, Handicrafts & Handloom and NRLM set up stalls to disseminate information regarding different welfare and livelihood schemes, providing on-the-spot guidance and awareness to participants. A dedicated Help Desk/Grievance Redressal Desk was also established by the District Employment and Counselling Centre, Pulwama to facilitate onboarding, provide assistance and address grievances related to Mission YUVA.

During the mela, the MLA distributed sanction letters and handed over commercial vehicles sanctioned under Mission YUVA to various beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, he urged the youth to actively avail the benefits of Mission YUVA and encouraged them to explore self-employment opportunities under various government schemes.

He also asked the bank representatives to ensure timely disbursement in respect of all pending eligible cases so that the youth are provided meaningful employment in a time-bound manner. He further directed the Employment Department to intensify counselling and handholding of unemployed youth to enable them to establish sustainable livelihood ventures.

Earlier, the MLA inspected the stalls installed by various departments and financial institutions associated with the implementation of Mission YUVA.

*Mega Women Entrepreneurship and SHG Mela Held in Pulwama under Mission YUVA.

The District Employment and Counselling Centre, Pulwama, today organised a Mega Women’s Entrepreneurship and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) Mela under Mission YUVA at the Auditorium Hall, GDC Boys, Pulwama.

The mela witnessed enthusiastic participation from women entrepreneurs and SHG members from across the district.

The initiative aimed to promote women entrepreneurship, self-employment, and livelihood generation by providing a common platform for women to showcase their products, skills, and enterprise models.

Officers from different departments were present to ensure effective coordination and provided direct guidance to women entrepreneurs regarding government schemes, financial assistance, training opportunities, and market linkage support.

Women entrepreneurs and SHG members displayed a wide range of products, including handicrafts, embroidery, handloom items, tailoring products, food processing items, traditional local products, and other micro-enterprise outputs.

The stalls reflected the creativity, skill, and entrepreneurial potential of women in District Pulwama.

Officials interacted with the participants, appreciated their efforts, and encouraged them to strengthen their enterprises by availing benefits under Mission YUVA and allied schemes.

Felicitation ceremony was also organised in which the beneficiaries were handed over keys.

The felicitation ceremony also inspired other women and SHG members to pursue entrepreneurship as a sustainable livelihood option.

Overall, the mela proved to be a significant step towards women empowerment in District Pulwama

It strengthened awareness about entrepreneurship opportunities, enhanced confidence among women, and reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration to support women-led enterprises through continuous handholding, institutional support, and inclusive development initiatives.

One-Day Orientation cm Training Session on Mission YUVA Held at Pulwama.

Pulwama,August 9:
A one-day Orientation cm Training Programme on Mission YUVA was successfully conducted today at the Auditorium Hall of GDC Boys Pulwama for Business Help Desks (BHDs) and YUVA Doots.

The event was honoured by the august presence of the Joint Director Employment, Kashmir who addressed the participants and shared valuable insights on the significance of Mission YUVA. They emphasized the mission’s role in empowering youth and strengthening grassroots outreach under employment and skill development initiatives.

The training aimed to equip BHDs and YUVA Doots with a comprehensive understanding of the mission’s objectives, implementation strategies, and their pivotal role in bridging the gap between unemployed youth and employment avenues.

Key resource persons included Mr. Rayees Ahmad Shapoo ( CCO ), Mr. BIlal Ahmad Parry ( EO ) & Mr. Shafat Yaseen, Senior Branch Manager, JK Bank.

They elaborated on vital components of Mission YUVA, including an overview of the mission, roles of SBDUs, BHDs, and YUVA Doots, financial linkages, working capital assistance, use of the mobile application, and strategies for identifying aspirational youth. They also discussed planning of IEC activities, counselling methods, registration on employment portals, and mobilization for skilling and livelihood schemes.

The session concluded with active participation from the trainees, who engaged in interactive discussions and shared their on-ground experiences.

This orientation marked a significant step in enhancing the field-level capacities of the stakeholders and ensuring effective and coordinated implementation of Mission YUVA across the district.
