The High Commission of Malta in New Delhi extends its sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to H.E. High Commissioner Reuben Gauci as he concluded his six-year tenure today.

Over the past six years, High Commissioner Gauci has served with dedication, professionalism, and distinction, working tirelessly to strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Malta and the Republic of India. His leadership also contributed significantly to enhancing Malta's bilateral relations with the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Republic of Maldives, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Throughout his tenure, the High Commission promoted closer cooperation across a broad range of sectors, including diplomacy, trade, education, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, further reinforcing Malta's presence and partnerships in the region.

The High Commission expresses its deepest gratitude to High Commissioner Gauci for his exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment, and dedicated service. We wish him and his family every success, good health, and happiness in the next chapter of their journey.

On 12 May 2026, on the occasion of IDAHOT2026 ( International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia to be celebrated on 17 May 2026 ), the High Commissioner of Malta to India H.E. Reuben Gauci and his spouse Dr Olga Gauci had the pleasure to deliver personal books, toys and jigsaws to The Naz Foundation Trust, an LGBTQI A+ Centre which takes care of HIV effected children and the Q***r Communities.
