Dear Colleagues
The 23rd Annual National Convention of Tourist Guides Federation of India concluded on 25 August, 2022. First and foremost a big hand of applause to our Aurangabad Unit for a wonderful team work as a host to organise the event .
The convention was inaugurated by Dr. Pramod Govindrao Yeole, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and Dr. Milan Kumar Chaule, Superintending Archaeologist, Aurangabad Circle and Dr. Bina Sengar, Asst. Prof. Dept. Of History and Ancient Indian Culture, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. After the inaugural ceremony on 24 Aug followed by the business sessions of the TGFI and finally the elections were held for a new executive committee body for the period of 2022 - 2024. Following is the newly elected executive committee of TGFI

Mr. J K Sharma - President from GATGA Delhi Unit.

Mr. Vimal Pathak - Exe Vice President from VTGA Varanasi Unit.

Mr. Xavier Fernandes - General Secretary from TGFI Goa Chapter.

Mr Arun Kumar Dixit - Treasurer from GATGA Delhi.

Mr Jaiswal - Jt. Secretary from Aurangabad unit.

Mr. Shyam Kumar & Mr Arif Khan are the two executive committee members.

Mehran Uddin is the Nominated Vice President of TGFI.

We would like to congratulate all the members of the newly elected body & wish them best of luck and promise our support on behalf of all members of TGFI.

Dear Friends,

Aurangabad is all set to host the 23rd Annual National Convention of Tourist Guides' Federation of India (TGFI) going to happen on 24th & 25th August 2022.
After 2 years since Covid-19 pandemic hit the world, the tourism industry in India is still struggling to be back to the normal, so let's hope that this year this convention will mark the beginning of a good tourist season we all can hope.

Dear Colleagues & Friends

Greetings !!

The pandemic has taught us all to be even more caring and more sensitive to the needs of ourselves. Pandemics are life-altering and therefore, define new behavior and shape the course of our work. What will stay unchanged are the humans and humanness. We have to build the right mind-set overcoming our fears & doubts by building confidence, positivity & resilience. Learning from setbacks can help us become stronger and more determined.

Guides are not waging a war but, have become vocal to establish justice because all other means of reconciliation with the oppressor have failed. Please don’t take this as a symbol of aggression or a tool to be used for aggrandizement, It is an emblem of self-respect and we are using it in self-defense. When all other means have failed, it is but lawful to use freedom of speech.

In the existing scenario with No Tourist arrivals, Guides are jobless and some are on the verge of starvation. Guides are already going through horrific times and are running from pillar to post to have both ends meet. Adding to their grief, Ministry of Tourism instead of helping the Guides of their own department, Ministry is pressurizing the guides to sign the Letter of Undertaking as a pre-condition for the renewal of their licenses. The manner in which Ministry of Tourism are playing with our identity and dignity is humanly inconceivable.

In my video I have tried to highlight some issues related to tourism in general and mainly the issues of Regional Level Guides of India. How the RLGs of India are battling for survival and struggling for their livelihood. I was also vocal in sharing a brief history of TGFI since its inception, and how few past TGFI leaders have played havoc with their own colleagues.

Well, giving up is not my style, I just want to do something that is worthwhile and something that benefits the guides fraternity of India. Last but not the least, *Do Not Sign The Letter of Undertaking under any circumstances*. Our case in the court is strong and we will get justice.

Ramadan Mubarak 🌙

“Welcome the month of Ramadan with the heart filled with peace, harmony and joy. May the divine blessings of Allah protect and guide you”.

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19), the Government has called for all places of worship, including Mosques, to remain closed.

It is important for all Muslims to help with the fight against coronavirus through adhering to the Government’s guidance and following the latest health advice.

Even though we will not be able to hold congregational prayers at Mosques, we would observe the prayers and worships with the family at home. We ask Allah to reward us with the same reward as if we are at the Mosque.

we must put our trust in Allah that He will remove the harm, we pray to God to cure all patients and immensely reward them in this world and the hereafter. We ask God to bless all those passed away and give their families patience for losing loved ones.
