INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON WORLDVIEW OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES by the School of Folkloristics at International Association of Comparative Literature, Society and Culture is organized to commemorate the 'International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples 2021'. The international event will host selected folklorists and researcher from the Argentina, Azerbaijan, Brazil, India, Ireland, Romania and Russia etc. The Keynote address will highlight the challenges and issues of the climate change and landscape of the indigenous peoples of the world. The two days international seminar is based on the following major themes; 1. Creation Myth, 2. Indigenous Culture, 3. The school has undertaken the study of the society, and culture of the Assam as envisioned by Dr Dhanjit Medhi - a pioneer visionary and educationist, philanthropist, researcher, socio-cultural and community leader of the Dimoria area in the Kamrup district.

The beginning of a discursive literary and political history of 'Modern Odia Literature' had been a long awaited project of IACLSC which will be materialized sooner. The five years project may begin in the coming month along with cooperation from partner institutions engaged in teaching and research of Modern Odia Literature. The project would engage Odia academia in workshop, seminar and conferences; there by examine various voices both literary and political. The IACLSC has planned National Workshop (2017), International Seminar (January 2018), International Conference (December 2018), and Research Methodology Workshop cm Folklore Winter School (December 2018) in Odisha. By December 2022 (Fourth Biennial International Conference IACLSC 2022) the IACLSC would be able to publish a discursive literary and political history of Modern Odia Literature.
The IACLSC conveys it's sincere gratitude to scholars of Odia language, literature, history and culture for understanding urgency of needs, demands and challenges of Odia literary genres and traditions. As mentioned in its manifesto, IACLSC would continue to appreciate their efforts for examination and revaluation of literary traditions, genres, texts etc. by comparative and historical methodologies. Meanwhile, ÍACLSC collaboration programmes would continue to achieve broader goals of comparative Indian literary canon.
