Voice NGO successfully conducted a Career Counselling Programme on the Armed Forces on 27 March 2026 at the Community Voice Library, Hee Gaon.
The session was delivered by Mr. Anup Bhandari, a trainee officer at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, who is soon to be commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. His insightful guidance and personal experiences inspired and motivated the students to explore career opportunities in the armed forces.
The programme was conducted in two sessions and witnessed the active participation of students from four senior secondary schools, namely Hee Yangthang Senior Secondary School, Bongten Senior Secondary School, Uttarey Senior Secondary School, and Dentam Senior Secondary School.
Voice NGO extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Passang Thendup Lepcha and Ms. Nisha S***a, DFO (Wildlife), Gyalshing District, for their generous sponsorship of packed lunch for all participants, which contributed greatly to the smooth conduct of the programme.
The initiative aimed to create awareness among students about career prospects in the armed forces and to encourage them to serve the nation with dedication and pride.
