Pimpri Chinchwad Police have taken action against illegal modified silencers that contribute to excessive vehicle noise, with a large number of silencers seized during enforcement drives.

Noise pollution on our roads isn’t only about unnecessary honking. Vehicle modifications designed to create excessive sound add to an already noisy urban environment.

Awareness matters, responsible behaviour matters and effective enforcement matters too.

We appreciate initiatives that recognise excessive noise as something worth acting against, and hope to see more such efforts across our cities.
