Aarash Foundation
The story behind naming this organization "Aarash"
Aarash is a mythological character of Iranian history. There are numerous variations of this name like Arshak, Erekhsha, Arash-e Shewatirand and Arash/Aarash kaman-gir, "Arash, bow-expert" which is used over the period of time.
Aarash was a hero of Iranian army at the time of king Manuchehr. Iran and Turan had always clash between each other since long past. Once upon a time a Turanian general Afrasiab invaded Iran and surrounded the Iranian army. Finally a peace treaty between these two was made with the condition that Iranian soldier will throw an arrow and whatever land will fall under that bow shot will be given to Iranians. Iranian hero Aarash comes forward as an archer and fires that arrow which travels a long distance which varies in different stories, in one of the stories it travels from dawn to dusk in another till noon in other 1000 leagues and in other story till 40 days walk.
After his great heroic efforts Iran got victory and became free from Afrasiab domination and Aarash disappeared after the fire, in other story it is said he lived rest of his life with a great honor.
This inspirational heroic character and his great efforts has been the reason behind naming this organization on his great name "Aarash". It will surely play the same great heroic role in the history like our hero Aarash to build India the greatest nation on earth with working in various fields like education, health, women empowerment, national integration and religious harmony etc.
