The World Down Syndrome Day 2026 was commemorated on 24.03.2026 with great enthusiasm and compassion by the Department of Occupational Therapy in the institute, in the gracious presence of beneficiaries, their caregivers, students and staff members. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing hope, positivity, and inclusivity, followed by a warm and inspiring welcome address by the HOD (OT). The celebration featured a series of thoughtfully organized activities for the beneficiaries, including a drawing competition, vibrant cultural performances, and a joyful musical chair event involving Down syndrome beneficiaries.
The event culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing and appreciating the efforts and achievements of the beneficiaries. A total of 59 beneficiaries and their caregivers, 25 staff members, 35 BOT students attended the program and made it meaningful and memorable.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Gunjan Wadhwa, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and supporters for their valuable contribution in making the event a success.
