The ICCR Goa, Directorate of Art and Culture, Goa and Vidya Prabodhini College, Goa presents Kala Vishwa campaign under Horizon series of ICCR.Today we present Folk Music of Goa performed by famous Folk artist of Goa, Shri Ladu Parwar ji. Kala Vishwa explores the inner core beauty of Goa that is Goan art and artists.
Shri Ladu Parwar ji is a performing artist who presents and preserves traditional Goan folk songs, theatre and dance forms and runs the organisation “Om Shanti Dance Academy Goa”. He has performed in more than 5100 places in India through West Zone Cultural Centre Udaipur, CCRT Delhi and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Goa. He has received “GOA STATE BEST SOCIAL WORKER AWARD” in the year 2016, “NATIONAL BEST BOY DELEGATE AWARD” at Delhi and many others. He has worked as a judge, mentor at district, State and National level, guiding many youth, schools, colleges and other organisations by conducting more than hundred workshops. We are deeply honoured to present such great work of a versatile artist.

Two days 21st Youth Konkani Literature Conference was organised by Vidya Prabodhini College in collaboration with ICCR, Goa and Goa Konkani Academy, Goa wherein a Goan Cultural Dance and Music performance was presented under ICCRs Horizon Series by local Goan artists and prize were distributed to the winners in the event.

The ICCR Goa, Directorate of Art and Culture, Goa and Vidya Prabodhini College, Goa present Clay Art by Mr. Shriram Shirgaonkar from Mulgaon, Bicholim, Goa, under KALA VISHWA, a special campaign under Horizon Series today i.e. Monday 28th February 2022 at 7 pm.

Mr Shirgaonkar is a well known artist and is known for making Ganesh idols in the state of Goa. His artworks has been showcassed at Republic parade too and several other places. He recently suffered brain stroke due to which has lost visibility partially. However, he is managing to continue with his work with the minimal support that he gets. He is a profound artist and his artistic works are worth watching. So, let us today be part of his journey today in this field of art.

ICCR Goa, in collaboration with RPO, Panaji, cordially invites you under the Activity on the occasion of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" and it's Horizon Series for the Cultural Evening on 27February, 2022 at Multipurpose Hall, Kala and Sanskruti Bhavan Patto, Panaji from 630 pm onwards sharp.
