SAFAR fellowships are provided towards encouraging girls in Science and Technology. We are pleased to continue to collaborate with the UP Science Centre in 2018 also.

SAFAR project for empowering women and girls through supporting income generation activities has been initiated with grants to eight selected women and girls. The objective is to try to reach at least 100 women in 2017-2018. These women have opened small shops in their localities; initiated papad making and bought sewing machines. Meet two of the SAFAR women self starters- Zarina and Ayesha- we wish them all the best in their goal of economic empowerment!

The documentary "Sabka Adhikar" is a first one for creating awareness and enhancing use of the right to information by women and girls in Uttar Pradesh. The documentary was developed by Sadbhavna Trust Video Unit Lucknow and supported by SAFAR.
