SAFAR was established on 24 May 2002 as a philanthropic development organization. SAFAR is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. The organization is funded through a generous one-t

ime grant and annual recurring contributions from a family asset. The donor family & individuals are committed to development in their home state of Uttar Pradesh. However, they seek to remain anonymous. SAFAR provides funding to triggering projects and initiatives which are strategic, high impact, complementary to the work of the government, and facilitate empowerment and rights of citizens of Uttar Pradesh, particularly women & girls.
