District Police Leh solved the murder case within one hour, and the accused arrested:

Leh, 16th Oct:

On 15th Oct, 2024 at around 2100 hours, Police Post Choglamsar received an information about a dead body found near TR Camp No. 12, Choglamsar. Immediately, the police team along with forensic experts and executive magistrate, rushed to the scene of crime. The victim was identified as Dil-Bahadur Kami, age 33 years S/O Bhirpal Kami R/O Pawan Nagar, District Dang Nepal, labour from Nepal. He was found in a pool of blood with severe head injuries.
On this case, FIR No. 198/2024, U/S 103(1) BNS was registered at Police Station Leh. Witnesses reported that a fight took place between the deceased and the accused namely Baghi Ram Bahadur, age 24-year S/O Basant Bahadur Bhadari R/O Tulsipur, District Dang, Nepal who is also a labour from Nepal and fled away from the scene of crime. After a swift manhunt, the police party succeeded in arresting the accused person from the nearby area after cordon off the entire area around.

One tourist vehicle was found violating the SDM Nubra's direction not to drive cars over sand dunes in Hunder. The couple from Jaipur were booked as per law and a bond of Rs50,000 was taken from them.

District police Leh requests tourists NOT TO PLY VEHICLES ON SAND DUNES as you damage the natural landscape and violate the prohibitory orders.

Illicit liquor sellers gang busted by Leh Police.

On 7/6/22 PP Housing colony and PP Khalsi arrested a lady namely Zangmi w/o Karchen Sherpa r/o Nepal, A/P Skara with 21 lit liquor and Punchoke Stobgail s/o Tsering Dorjai r/o Akshoo Zanskar with 123lit liquor respectively. They were planning to sell the liquor in black market and accordingly case has been registered in PS Leh.
