A private sleeper bus travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru caught fire after colliding with a motorcycle on the Kurnool highway near Chinna Tekuru village in Andhra Pradesh. The collision caused sparks near the fuel tank, leading to a massive blaze that engulfed the entire bus within minutes. The bus, operated by Kaveri Travels, was carrying over 40 passengers, many of whom were asleep when the fire broke out. Several passengers were trapped as the door got jammed, forcing others to break windows to escape. At least 20 people lost their lives in the tragic incident, and many others sustained injuries. Firefighters and police rushed to the spot to douse the flames and rescue survivors amid heavy rain and darkness. The Andhra Pradesh government has ordered a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident, while Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep condolences to the victims' families and announced immediate relief measures.
