Independence Day Celebrated at Juvenile Justice Board Kupwara.
Kupwara, August 15, 2026: Today the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) Kupwara celebrated the 80th Independence Day at its premises wherein the national flag was hoisted by the Principal Magistrate, Juvenile Justice Board Kupwara, Shri Mudasir Bashir in the presence of the Member, JJB Kupwara, Shri Ishaq Ahmad Dar, Chairperson and Members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Kupwara, Staff of District Child Protection unit Kupwara, members of the Child Helpline and staff members of other units associated with the juvenile justice and child protection system & Social welfare Department Kupwara.
In accordance with the new instructions the national song “Vande Mataram” was sung first followed by the National Anthem. The participants joined in the singing with a deep sense of patriotism and respect for the nation.
The flag-hoisting ceremony was followed by the distribution of sweets and a high tea for all participants. During the interaction, the principles and values underlying independence were highlighted. Special emphasis was laid on the collective responsibility of all stakeholders towards protecting the rights, dignity, and welfare of children and ensuring that every child gets an opportunity to grow in a safe, supportive, and enabling environment.
