Don't mislead public with false information, this project has been in the pipeline for the past two years, as the DPR for the said project was prepared almost a year earlier. Unfortunately, for petty political mileage the inauguration and work on the bridge was started without the release of funds for the project...Moreover there were irregularities in the project right from the beginning, instead of constructing completely new bridge, the old bridge was merely widened slightly from both sides, and only two new abutments were constructed while the rest of the structure remains in the same old style. Now, when the slab was supposed to be laid, the contractor came to know that no funds are actually available for the project and now you have come up with this new drama claiming that a lot of work has been done on it. In reality, where was completely new bridge constructed? the department simply repaired and adjusted the old bridge here and there.....
