1. Macedonian conquest of Persia (330 BCE)

Led by Alexander the Great

Defeated the Achaemenid Empire

First complete foreign takeover of Persia

2. Muslim conquest of Persia (633–651 CE)

By Rashidun Caliphate

Ended the Sasanian Empire completely

One of the most transformative conquests (religion, culture shift)

3. Turkic & Central Asian Conquests (10th–12th centuries)

Includes Seljuks and others

Iran came under foreign dynasties, though Persian culture remained dominant

4. Mongol invasion of Persia (1219–1256)

Led by Genghis Khan and successors

Extremely destructive; cities destroyed, population losses massive

Full conquest → Ilkhanate rule

5. Timurid invasions of Persia (14th century)

Led by Timur

Re-conquered large parts of Iran after Mongols

then the Achaemenid Persian Empire (539–330 BCE),
followed by Alexander the Great and his successors (332–63 BCE),
then the Roman Empire / Byzantine Empire (63 BCE–636 CE),
followed by the Islamic Caliphates (636–1258 CE),
and finally the Ottoman Empire (1517–1917 CE),

these lands remained politically connected for centuries.

**اے دلوں اور نگاہوں کو پھیرنے والے، اور اے رات اور دن کے پیدا کرنے والے!
ہمارے دلوں کو اپنی معرفت کے نور سے منور فرما۔
اے عزیز، اے غفار، اے کریم، اے ستار، اے حلیم!
اے وہاب، اے رحیم! اے توبہ قبول کرنے والے!
پاک ہے وہ بادشاہ، نہایت پاکیزہ، جو ملک اور ملکوت والا ہے۔
پاک ہے وہ جو عزت، عظمت اور ہیبت والا ہے۔
اور قدرت، کبریائی اور جبروت والا ہے۔
پاک ہے وہ زندہ بادشاہ جو نہ سوتا ہے اور نہ مرتا ہے۔
نہایت پاک اور مقدس ہے ہمارا رب، فرشتوں اور روح کا رب۔
اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، ہم اللہ سے مغفرت مانگتے ہیں،
ہم اس سے جنت کا سوال کرتے ہیں اور آگ سے پناہ چاہتے ہیں۔
(چار بار) اے رحم کرنے والوں میں سب سے بڑھ کر رحم کرنے والے!
اے کرم کرنے والوں میں سب سے زیادہ کرم کرنے والے!
اے احسان کرنے والوں میں سب سے بڑھ کر احسان کرنے والے!
اپنے قدیم احسان سے ہم پر احسان فرما۔
اے اللہ! تو معاف کرنے والا ہے، معافی کو پسند کرتا ہے،
پس ہمیں معاف فرما، اور ہماری مغفرت فرما،
اور ہم پر رحم فرما۔
تو ہمارا مددگار ہے، پس ہمیں کافروں پر غلبہ عطا فرما۔

اللہ تعالیٰ ہمارے سردار محمد ﷺ پر، اور ان کی آل و اصحاب پر رحمتیں نازل فرمائے،
اور ان سب پر برکت اور سلامتی بھیجے۔
