Kulgam 10 Apr :- Youth Block President Qaimoh, while interacting with the media fraternity in Kulgam, launched a sharp criticism of the National Conference (NC), accusing it of failing to fulfill its major electoral promises. He stated that the NC had assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir of providing one lakh employment within a year, but “unfortunately, not even a fraction of that promise has been realized.” In a scathing remark, he said that “only one position seems to have been filled, that too by Nasir Aslam Wani,” highlighting what he termed as favoritism and lack of transparency. He further alleged that the government has sold key power projects, undermining the region’s resources and interests. The Youth President also claimed that the NC has “not even completed 5% of its work in the past two years,” accusing it of consistently betraying public trust. Additionally, he criticized the alleged purchase of a ₹4.50 crore Mahindra Scorpio, terming it an example of misuse of public funds instead of focusing on development and employment.

Kund, April 7: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Vice President Mohd Sartaj Madni on Tuesday visited the Kund-Waltang block to attend a workers' meeting at Waltengoo Nard, held at the residence of Choudhary Bashir Sahab, where he presided over a party meeting attended by local leadership and workers. He was accompanied by Secretary Zone Devsar Gh Rasool Dar, Block President Kund Gull Mohd Tantray, former DDC Kund Sheikh Gulzar Ahmad, and District President Kulgam, Mr. Zafrullah Wani.

During the meeting, Madni interacted with party workers and reviewed organizational matters at the grassroots level. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of unity and active participation among workers to strengthen the party structure in the region.
