The "Cease Cervical Cancer" webinar, hosted by IIWP Mamta Gupta, was a groundbreaking success, Offering valuable insights and enlightenment. Approximately 600 Inner Wheel members from around the world attended it. Dr. Hitt Sharma, Medical Director of Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd was the guest speaker at the webinar. PAS Sandhaya Bhat introduced him and Dr. Sharma delivered an informative insights on HPV vaccine, addressing members' queries and concerns.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from IIW President, followed by a PowerPoint presentation appreciating members' tireless efforts towards cervical cancer awareness. PIIWP Oluyemisi discussed the challenges faced by Inner Wheel members in running cervical cancer campaign in Africa, while PIIWP Zenaida shared insights on cervical cancer developements in the Philippines, through a captivating PPT.
NR Shanti (Malaysia) and NR Sunita Jain (India) praised the initiative and shared the work done in their countries.
District Chairmen Asha Agarwal(312, India), Farahnaz Qaiyum(345, malaysia), Jyotikiran(317, India), Irina Mendoza(417, Mexico) and President Samita Sawant( D 317) expressed gratitude for the opportunity and promise to continue their efforts.
IIW Editor/Media Manager Rajni Katia launched the CCC page and YouTube channel, released a special bulletin "CEASE CERVICAL CANCER".
Testimonials from vaccinated children were shared by PAT Padma Sharma, PIIW BD Luisa presented an informative tutorial on cervical cancer by using an engaging PPT.
IIW Board Directors Alyssandra, Iclal, Emily, Valentina and Dr. Surjit Kaur encouraged members to continue this mission.
IIWP Mamta Gupta concluded the event by thanking her team and attendees for their support, making it a valuable learning experience for all.
