HOPE IS A GOOD THING... MAY BE THE BEST OF THINGS...
COVID & AMPHAN has shut down the stages and halls of city and suburbs. No employment for these makers of magic for last two months. The future is completely uncertain as nobody knows when and how the stage theaters will be opened again.
Moreover, the disastrous AMPHAN has striked very hard on many of our stage comrades. It is therefore our moral and social duty to stand with them and support them in survival for coming few months.
This crisis will be over. Stages will be opened. But who will create those magical evenings, for us if the craftsmen-women do not survive this crisis?
There are millions of sagas of dedication and sacrifices of theater artists, We all know those tales. Most of the artists are like daily laborers . They work , therefore they earn. And the little amount they earn, it gives them very little scope to save something for future. Can you imagine what must have been happening to these artists household – 60 days without work-60 days without payment! But hunger wont stop right? Lets turn this darkness to possibility. Lets stand together with them in this tough time.
