Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has broken ground on the Adani Logistics Park in Kalamassery, Kochi. Envisioned as part of the Invest in Kerala program, the 70-acre site will host state-of-the-art logistics facilities spread over 1.3 million sq. ft., which have been designed with a focus on efficiency and sustainability.

Beyond infrastructure, the project is poised to create over 1,500 jobs, strengthening local employment and encouraging SME participation.

കേരളത്തിന്റെ പൊതുഗതാഗത രംഗത്ത് വിപ്ലവകരമായ മാറ്റം കൊണ്ടുവന്ന കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ പ്രവർത്തനലാഭത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഹാട്രിക്ക് നേട്ടം കരസ്ഥമാക്കി ചരിത്രം രചിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. രണ്ട് വർഷം മുൻപാണ് മെട്രോ ചരിത്രത്തിലാദ്യമായി പ്രവർത്തനലാഭം കൈവരിച്ചത്. കഴിഞ്ഞവർഷവും ഈ വർഷവും പ്രവർത്തന ലാഭം വലിയ അളവിൽ വർധിപ്പിക്കാനും കൊച്ചി മെട്രോയ്ക്ക് സാധിച്ചു. 2024-25 വർഷത്തിൽ 33.34 കോടി രൂപയുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തന ലാഭമാണ് കൊച്ചിമെട്രോ നേടിയത്.

പ്രവർത്തനമാരംഭിച്ച് ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലത്തിനുള്ളിൽ മികച്ച നേട്ടം കൈവരിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നുവെന്നത് അഭിമാനാർഹമായ നേട്ടമാണ്. ഈ നേട്ടത്തിൽ കെഎംആർഎല്ലിലെ എല്ലാ ജീവനക്കാരെയും അഭിനന്ദിക്കുന്നു. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കും സ്ഥിരം യാത്രികർക്കുമായുള്ള വിവിധ സ്കീമുകൾ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയും സെൽഫ് ടിക്കറ്റിംഗ് മെഷീനുകൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചും യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് മികച്ച സേവനം ഉറപ്പാക്കിയും കൂടുതൽ യാത്രക്കാരെ മെട്രോയിലേക്കെത്തിക്കാൻ നമുക്ക് സാധിച്ചു. മികവാര്‍ന്ന രീതിയിലുള്ള ട്രെയിന്‍ ഓപ്പറേഷന്‍, യാത്രാസൗകര്യങ്ങളിലെ വര്‍ധന, കൂടുതല്‍ വരുമാന ഉറവിടങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതിലെ വൈവിധ്യവല്‍ക്കരണം, ടിക്കറ്റിതര വരുമാനം വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പരിശ്രമം, തുടങ്ങിയവയിലൂടെയാണ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തനലാഭം ഓരോ വര്‍ഷവും വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നത്. രാജ്യത്തെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച പ്രവർത്തനം കാഴ്ച വെക്കുന്ന ഒരു മെട്രോ സംവിധാനമായി കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ മാറിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഈ സർക്കാരിൻ്റെ കാലത്തു തന്നെ കൊച്ചി മെട്രോയെ കൂടുതൽ അഭിവൃദ്ധിപ്പെടുത്താൻ സാധിക്കുമെന്നാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്.

The story of a passionate miller who runs a 67-year-old mill in the Gujarati quarter of Mattancherry and continues to follow the old ways of the food trade he learned from his father.

The powdery white interiors of Thampy’s Flour Mill evokes culinary nostalgia of yesteryears. The quivery hum that fills the space transports us to a time when food production in our homes was more intimate and detailed. Before flour and spices in colourful packets became a staple of Keralite kitchens, the miller was an indispensable culinary craftsman in every neighbourhood. The increased popularity of packaged flour and spices paved the way for the closure of many small-scale mills across Kerala. Thampy is among the few remaining millers in Mattancherry, the centre of spice trade in Kochi and a sprawling old market which is slowly transitioning into a quaint town dotted with art galleries and boutique hotels.
