Cyber Awareness Day at 22 IR BN Kishtwar

On May 6, 2026, the headquarters of 22 IR BN Kishtwar hosted a Cyber Awareness Day. The event focused on prevalent cyber threats, including OTP theft, identity theft, fake job offers, sextortion, Trojans, and malicious links. A comprehensive lecture covered these topics, highlighting the potential consequences of identity compromise and financial loss. Participants were advised against installing third-party applications from untrusted sources. Real-world examples and interactive tutorials facilitated a thorough understanding. A warm send-off and piping ceremony was organised at 22 IR Battalion, Kishtwar, to mark the promotion of ASI Mohd Amin to the rank of Sub-Inspector and HC Farooq Ahmad to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector, both of whom were honoured with their promotions on the day of their retirement.
The ceremony also included the piping of ASI Jiwan Lal and ASI Ghulam Rasool Bhat, who were promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector, as well as HC Swarn Singh and HC Santosh Kumar, who were elevated to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector.
The Worthy Commandant, Sh. Mushim Ahmed (JKPS), along with other officers, ceremonially pinned the new ranks and extended heartfelt congratulations to the promotees. He lauded their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service, and encouraged them to continue upholding the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and commitment in the service of the nation.

Subject: Awareness Programme under Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan.

As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, an awareness programme was organized at the Headquarters of 22 IR Battalion.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of the Commandant, Sh. Mushim Ahmad, JKPS (SSP). On the occasion, DySP Sanjay Koul addressed the gathering and emphasized the urgent need to combat drug abuse in society. He highlighted that drug addiction not only devastates individuals but also disrupts families and weakens the social fabric.
He further stressed the importance of sustained awareness campaigns, preventive strategies, early identification, and effective rehabilitation of affected individuals.
During the session, informative lectures were delivered covering various aspects of drug abuse prevention and awareness, aiming to sensitize the personnel about the issue.
The speaker reiterated that awareness is the cornerstone in eliminating the menace of drug abuse, supported by timely prevention, identification, and rehabilitation efforts. All personnel were encouraged to actively participate in such initiatives and contribute towards building a healthier and drug-free society.

Subject: Awareness Programme under Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan

As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, an awareness programme was organized at the Headquarters of 22 IR Battalion.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Commandant, Sh. Mushim Ahmad, JKPS (SSP). On the occasion, SI Waseem Ahmed addressed the gathering and highlighted the pressing need to curb drug abuse in society. He elaborated that drug addiction not only ruins individuals but also disrupts families and adversely impacts the social fabric.

He further underscored the significance of sustained awareness, preventive measures, early detection, and effective rehabilitation of affected individuals.
