IIT Kharagpur is delighted to announce its participation in the Supercomputing India 2025 (SCI2025) Conference, held from December 9 to 13, 2025, at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Bengaluru. The inaugural edition of this premier national conference was organized by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) with support from the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM), jointly steered by the DST and MeitY. The event brought together a global community of experts, researchers, industry leaders, innovators, and academicians to chart the future of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and its convergence with AI and Quantum technologies.
Through a dedicated stall in the exhibition area, IIT Kharagpur’s delegation showcased cutting-edge computational research enabled by the Institute’s ParamShakti Supercomputing Facility, established under the NSM and housed at the Centre for Computational and Data Sciences (CCDS). The delegation comprised a set of enterprising CCDS research scholars who specialize in High Performance Computing, namely Ms. Krishna Priya, Mr. Siddharth Sharma, Mr. Soumyajit Karmakar, and Ms. Susmita Barik. The team was led by Dr. Sandeep Kumar Reddy, assistant professor, CCDS. Prof. Soumyajit Dey (Head, CCDS) and Prof. Somnath Roy (Associate Head, CCDS) attended the NSM user meet where Prof. Roy shared his experience on multi-GPU DNS solver design for biological flow problems. Together, the team presented impactful research demonstrating the diverse applications of supercomputing in advancing scientific and engineering innovation at IIT Kharagpur.
IIT Kharagpur expresses its sincere appreciation for the critical role of India’s growing supercomputing infrastructure in enabling accelerated, large-scale, and high-impact research. The institute extends its gratitude to the NSM, C-DAC, MeitY, and DST for their continued support in terms of providing high performance computing infrastructure.
