കൂൺ കൃഷിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിശീലന പരിപാടി നവംബർ 6-ന് കൃഷ്ണവിജ്ഞാന കേന്ദ്രം (KVK) കണ്ണൂരിൽസംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. സാങ്കേതിക സെഷൻ KVK കണ്ണൂരിലെ അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് പ്രൊഫസർ (എൻറോമോളജി) ഡോ. മഞ്ജു കെ.പി. കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തു.

One-Day Seminar on Scientific Mango Cultivation: A one-day seminar on Scientific Mango Cultivation was organized by KVK Kannur in collaboration with Kuttiattoor Mango FPO. The sessions were handled by Dr. Meera Manjusha A.V., Programme Coordinator, KVK Kannur, and Dr. Manju K.P., Assistant Professor, Entomology, KVK Kannur. The programme aimed to enhance the technical knowledge of mango growers on scientific production practices, improved management techniques, and value addition opportunities for sustainable mango cultivation.

ന്യൂട്രി-ഗാർഡൻ പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി, ശാസ്ത്രീയ പച്ചക്കറി കൃഷിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിശീലനവും കാർഷിക ഇൻപുട്ടുകളുടെ വിതരണ പരിപാടിയും 04.11.2025-ന് കെ.വി.കെ കണ്ണൂരിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. ഈ പദ്ധതി കുടുംബങ്ങളെ സ്വന്തം വീടുകളുടെ പരിസരത്ത് ന്യൂട്രി-ഗാർഡൻ/ പോഷകത്തോട്ടം സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയും, പോഷകസുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുന്ന രീതിയിൽ സുരക്ഷിതവും വൈവിധ്യമാർന്നതുമായ പച്ചക്കറികളുടെ നിത്യേന ഉപയോഗം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുകയും ലക്ഷ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു .

As part of the Nutri-Garden Programme, a training on scientific vegetable cultivation and input distribution was conducted at KVK Kannur on 04.11.2025.The programme aimed to encourage families to establish nutrigardens in their backyards, promoting the regular consumption of fresh, safe, and diverse vegetables.

As part of the ARYA (Attracting and Retaining Youth in Agriculture) Project, visits were conducted to Keezhattoor Mushrooms and Nutrishroom, two Hi-Tech Mushroom Production Units receiving technical support from KVK Kannur. Dr. Meera Manjusha A.V., Programme Coordinator, and Dr. Manju K.P., ARYA Nodal Scientist, reviewed the ongoing activities, evaluated the progress, and provided technical guidance for further improvement. It was truly inspiring to witness the systematic approach, innovative practices, and commitment of these young agri-entrepreneurs who are setting new benchmarks in agribusiness.
KVK Kannur is proud to support and nurture such promising ventures under the ARYA Project.

A training programme on Mushroom Spawn Production was conducted at KVK Kannur on 01.11.2025. The technical sessions were led by Dr. Manju K P, Assistant Professor (Entomology), and Smt. Jimsha, Skilled Assistant. Quality seed material forms the foundation for successful mushroom cultivation. As part of our continued efforts to promote mushroom farming and ensure the availability of quality spawn, the training aimed to enhance local capacity and technical skills in spawn production. By encouraging decentralized spawn production units, we aim to strengthen the mushroom value chain and empower entrepreneurs to achieve self-sufficiency in spawn production and supply.

As part of BLAKC Peravoor, field visits were conducted to the demonstration plots on 31.10.2025. The visit focused on the Front Line Demonstration (FLD) aimed at popularising the ‘Pragathi’ hybrid of bitter gourd among farmers. The demonstration field was visited by Dr. Manju K.P., Nodal Officer, BLAKC Peravoor, and Sri.
