A District Level Review Meeting of institutions that recorded a pass percentage below 65% in the HS Final Examination 2026 was chaired by District Commissioner Shri Deba Kumar Mishra.

The meeting focused on a comprehensive analysis of the HS Final Examination results, identification of factors affecting performance, institution-wise reviews, setting targets for HS Final Examination 2027, and formulating actionable strategies to improve academic outcomes.

The meeting was also attended by ADC Smt Geetashri Lachit, the Inspector of Schools and other concerned officials.

ADC also carried out a supportive supervision visit to Uparhali BPHC, where she interacted with the SDM&HO and hospital staff and reviewed various aspects of hospital management and service delivery.

The 2nd District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting on the implementation and review of the National Digital Livestock Mission (NDLM)-Bharat Pasudhan was held today under the chairmanship of District Commissioner, Kamrup, Shri Deba Kumar Mishra.

The meeting reviewed the progress of the mission and discussed strategies for effective Aadhaar seeding and registration of livestock, including stray animals, under the NDLM-Bharat Pasudhan initiative.

The District Commissioner stressed the need for a coordinated and systematic approach, directing that dedicated teams be constituted to carry out the work at the panchayat level. He emphasized proper planning and close coordination among ASRLM and other concerned departments, with Block Development Officers taking the lead in facilitating the implementation process.

The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer, Kamrup Zila Parishad, Shri Siddhartha Goswami; District Development Commissioner Shri Susanta Kumar Dutta; Block Development Officers; Agriculture Officer and officials from the concerned departments.

An enforcement drive was conducted on 5 June 2026 at the residence of an accused person in the Hajo Ketkijar area to curb the illegal trade of liquor.

During the raid, the following illicit IMFL and beer meant for sale in Assam were seized:
👉🏻 IMFL – 17.28 BL
👉🏻 Beer – 31.02 BL

An Excise case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Assam Excise Act, and further legal action is underway.

A review meeting chaired by Chief Executive Officer, Kamrup Zila Parishad, Shri Siddhartha Goswami, was held today at the Conference Hall of the Integrated District Commissioner's Office, Amingaon, to assess the performance of identified Gram Panchayats under key flagship schemes, including PMAY-G, MGNREGA, NSAP, and the 15th Finance Commission Grants.

The meeting focused on reviewing progress, addressing implementation gaps, and expediting the completion of pending works to ensure effective service delivery and improved beneficiary coverage. Emphasis was laid on coordinated efforts, timely fund utilisation, and regular monitoring at the Gram Panchayat level for achieving the desired outcomes.
