From the beginning of old Kingdoms, Kadi province had existence on name “Kille Kadi”.

There is a famous saying about kadi, KADI SONA NI DADI, which roughly translated means Kadi is a Golden Ball, because of its significant success and contribution to state economy with tremendous production of cotton bales. Cotton mills were great contributors to Indian economy during first 7 decades of 20th century. There are over 100 cotton ginning and cotton seed oil mills functioning at Kadi. During 1980 to 1985 GIDC was developed at Kadi. There are many big and small scale manufacturing units are functioning at Kadi providing large-scale employment.
