About the Committee
the Jodhpur Tree plantation and Environment Protection Committee, formed in the year 1989 is a committee of like minded people formed for the purpose of wide scale tree plantation in and around the city of Jodhpur for the purpose of conservation of the environment and beautification of the city. the committee was formulated under the Chairmanship of Late Shri M M Singhvi, Advoc

ate and is working on the aims and objectives as set out by the founding members which are as follows
1. for the protection, development and plantation of trees which are the most cherished gift of nature to mankind.
2. for selection of places for plantation of trees and the protection of planted trees.
3. for setting up various plant nurseries at different areas and to rpovide different types of plants for plantation
4. for creating awareness and desire amongst people for participating in public causes like tree plantation and environment protection.
5. for organizing events related to environment protection and environmental awareness.
6. for protection and development of wildlife
8. for construction and maintenance of drinking water facilities, dharamshalas etc

The tree plantation event organised by the Jodhpur Tree Plantation and Environment Protection Committee and Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur from 18 to 21 Feb 2016 culminated yesterday and was a huge success. We express our heartfelt thanks to Hon'ble Justice Sandeep Mehta, Mr. C. V. R. Murty Director IIT, Jodhpur and his efficient team, the members of the committee, the lawyers who bestowed the event with their gracious presence and other guests who could spare their valuable time for the event. We also express a special thanks to the ground staff with who's dedicated efforts the event could proceed smoothly
We also thank our President Mr. M S Singhvi who gave us the opportunity by organizing the event in the memory of our Founder President
