Shri Anand Jain-IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Armed J&K, accompanied by Sh Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS, DIG IRP Range Jammu and SO to ADGP Sh. Dalip Kumar-JKPS, paid an official visit to 2-IRB Fatehpur, Rajouri today.
During the course of the visit, the ADGP Armed J&K first proceeded to CBS Sarol, where he was warmly received by the Cheif Instructor CBS Sarol, SSP Rajouri and Commandant of 2-IRB along with other officers of the unit. He interacted with trainees from various Kashmir-based AP/IRP units undergoing the Special Striking Force/QRT Course. The ADGP closely reviewed the training modules, operational drills, and overall preparedness of the trainees. Emphasizing discipline, physical fitness, and operational efficiency, he encouraged the participants to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and to perform their duties with dedication, integrity, and commitment.
On arrival at Battalion Headquarters, Fatehpur, Rajouri, the visiting officers were received by the Deputy Commandant of the Battalion and other officers of the unit. The ADGP was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour. He undertook a comprehensive review of the battalion’s functioning, infrastructure, and operational readiness.He also formally inaugurated the newly installed CCTV control room and dedicated to the unit the renovated Mess, Dining Hall, footpath, and roof awning by cutting the ribbon in the presence of the DIG IRP Range Jammu, SO to ADGP, SSP Rajouri and the Commandant of the Battalion.
Subsequently, the ADGP addressed a Darbar of officers and jawans, where he listened to their concerns and appreciated their dedication and hard work in maintaining law and order and ensuring security. He urged the jawans to stay away from drug abuse, highlighting its detrimental effects on individual well-being and the integrity of the force.
The visit concluded with an interaction session with officers, during which important matters pertaining to administration, security and personnel welfare were discussed in detail. At the end, the Commandant expressed heartfelt gratitude to the ADGP for his valuable guidance, continued support, and inspiring visit to the Battalion.
