Today, on 01.06.2026 Monday inspection was conducted by shri Mohd Majid Malik SSP Commandant JKAP 10 IR . During the inspection, the Quarter Guard was checked. The repair work at the Quarter Guard is in progress, and necessary directions were issued to ensure its completion at the earliest.

The Unit Mess was also inspected. The mess staff were instructed to maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.

Furthermore, directions were issued for the cleaning, repair, and maintenance of the barrack to ensure their readiness for the accommodation of Yatra Companies.

A farewell function was organized today on 31/05/2026 at Battalion Headquarters to mark the superannuation of SI Wazir Mohd Khan & HC Mohd Yousuf Hajam who retired after rendering distinguished service to the organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mohd Majid Malik, SSP Commandant 10 JKAP IR, along with other officers, lauded the valuable contributions of the retiring personnel during their service tenure.

A formal send-off ceremony was held in which officers/officials, family members/Guests of the retirees participated and extended their best wishes for a healthy, peaceful, and prosperous post-retirement life.
The function concluded with a high tea arranged for the retirees, guests and other staff.

Today, on 25.05.2026 Monday inspection was conducted by Shri Mohd Majid malik ,SSP commandant 10 JKAP IR. During the inspection, the Quarter Guard and Kot were thoroughly checked. The repair work at the Quarter Guard was also inspected and directions were issued to complete the work at the earliest.

The Unit Mess was inspected, the food was being prepared as per the prescribed menu. The mess staff were also directed to maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Further, the Monday Parade was inspected and the salute was taken. All participating officers/officials were briefed and directed to maintain proper turnout, discipline, and drill standards.

A pipping ceremony was organized today, on 04.05.2026, at the 10 IR Battalion Headquarters, APC Mattan, to formally adorn the ranks of newly promoted officers. A total of 10 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) were promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector, and 13 Head Constables (HCs) were promoted to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector, as approved by APHQ J&K.

On the occasion, the newly promoted officers were decorated with their ranks by Shri Mohd Majid Malik, JKPS, Commandant 10 IR Battalion, who expressed his happiness and pride.Other officers of the unit were also present and extended their congratulations to the promotees.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Commandant congratulated the promoted officers and their families and advised them to remain committed to their duties and encouraged them to continue discharging their responsibilities with the same dedication, honesty, sincerity, and professionalism in the future.

**Pledge on Nasha Mukt Abhiyan**

During the ongoing campaign of Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, On 27-04-2026 the Commandant of 10 IR Battalion, Shri Mohd Majid Malik-SSP along with other officers and officials, solemnly took a pledge to contribute actively towards building a drug-free society. The ceremony was conducted with a strong sense of duty, discipline, and collective responsibility, reflecting the commitment of the force towards social welfare and national interest. All officers and officials pledged to support and strengthen the ongoing initiatives of the Government under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.

The Commandant emphasized the crucial role of security forces in combating the menace of drugs and urged all ranks to act as responsible citizens and role models. He highlighted that drug abuse not only weakens individuals but also poses a serious threat to the social fabric and national security. Therefore, a united and consistent effort is essential to eradicate this evil from society.

During the pledge, all personnel resolved to abstain from the consumption of any form of intoxicants and to discourage the use of drugs within their personal and professional circles.

They committed themselves to participating in awareness drives, community outreach programs, and preventive measures aimed at curbing the spread of drug addiction.

The pledge ceremony concluded with a renewed sense of determination among all present to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, and service, and to work collectively towards achieving the vision of a healthy, safe, and addiction-free nation.

Today, on 07-04-2026, a farewell party was organized in honour of Sh. Rajinder Kumar Katoch, SSP/Commandant 10 IR Battalion, who has recently been transferred from this unit and posted as Commandant, 1st IR Battalion, Reasi, Jammu.
The party was attended by officers/officials of the unit, wherein the outgoing officer was appreciated for the commendable role he played during his tenure as Commandant. His leadership, dedication, and professional commitment were acknowledged by all ranks.
On the occasion, the outgoing officer was presented with several gifts by subordinate formations as a token of love and respect. In response, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude and thanked all ranks for their support and cooperation during his tenure.

In his address, he appreciated the dedication and sincerity displayed by the personnel in the discharge of their duties and urged them to continue the same spirit and enthusiasm in all future endeavours.

On 11.03.2026 Shri Rajinder kumar katoch, SSP Commandant 10 IR personally visited CBS Bhalra Bhaderwah accompanied by DySP Shafqat Qayoom of 5 IR and Inspector Irshad Ahmad of 5 IR in connection with an interactive session with the trainees of 10 IR and other battalions of Armed Police personnel who are undergoing a four-week Special Striking Course under the Indian Army.

During the visit, he interacted with the trainees at Naska and Bhalra, where the training is being imparted, and boosted their morale by encouraging them to undergo the course with full dedication ,seriousness and maintain discipline throughout the training period. I also inspected the messing area of the jawans and the residential barracks/bathrooms at Dugga village, which were found satisfactory.Directions were given to the Quartermaster regarding the mess menu to ensure adequate and nutritious food for trainees undergoing rigorous training.

Some grievances/shortcomings were also raised by the trainees, and they were assured that their issues would be taken up with the nodal officer and higher authorities for appropriate redressal.

๐ŸŒฑ Plantation Drive at 10 IR Battalion, APC Mattan

A plantation drive was organized at the Headquarters of 10 IR Battalion and its surrounding areas at APC Mattan.
The drive was led by Shri Rajinder Katoch, Commandant 10 IR Battalion, and Shri Khurshid-ur-Rehman, DySP (QM). Officers and jawans of 10 IR Battalion participated in the plantation drive with great enthusiasm and commitment towards promoting a Green and Clean India.
During the drive, 150 saplings of cypress, kail, and cryptomeria were planted within the APC complex to enhance greenery and contribute to environmental conservation.
The initiative not only strengthened ecological awareness but also reflected the Battalionโ€™s continued dedication to environment-friendly activities, upholding the vision of Swachh Bharat and Green Bharat.
