The 45th meeting of the State Empowered Committee (SEC), chaired by the Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, Shri V. Srinivas, reviewed projects for consideration of customised packages under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS), paving the way for investments worth INR 49,883.85 crore in the state.

Spanning sectors such as renewable energy, cement, steel, textiles, automobiles and others, these projects are expected to generate 13,271 employment opportunities, further strengthening Rajasthan’s growth-oriented industrial ecosystem.

Sh. V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, while chairing a meeting on “Textiles in Rajasthan” at the State Secretariat highlighted the Rajasthan Government’s initiatives aimed at positioning the state as a textile manufacturing and export hub.

He further said that under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the State Government has launched the Rajasthan Textile and Apparel Policy–2025; and for the first time the garment manufacturing sector has also been included in the policy to encourage exporters and that sectors such as natural and artificial fibres, technical textiles, garment manufacturing, handlooms, wool processing, leather products and footwear are also covered.

He also mentioned Rajasthan’s One District One Product (ODOP) Policy, under which products from Bhilwara, Balotra, Kota, Pali and Barmer districts are being promoted.
