A Historic Step Towards Stronger Rural Convergence in Arunachal Pradesh

The Arunachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), successfully organized a One-Day State-Level Workshop on the Formation of the State-Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) for Food, Nutrition, Health & WASH (FNHW) and PRI–Community Based Organization (CBO) Convergence on 31st July 2026 at the ArSRLM SMMU Conference Hall, Itanagar.

The workshop brought together senior officials from ArSRLM and key line departments, including Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Health, Education, Women & Child Development, Animal Husbandry, and NHM, to strengthen inter-departmental convergence for integrated rural development.

Key Outcomes:
Formal constitution of the State-Level Coordination Committee (SLCC)
Commitment to enhanced inter-departmental convergence
Strengthened communication mechanisms from State to village level
Collaborative initiatives in health, nutrition, livelihoods, rural asset building, and social welfare
Unanimous decision to sign a Joint Undertaking for coordinated implementation across Arunachal Pradesh.

Together, we are building stronger institutions, empowered communities, and sustainable rural livelihoods through convergence and collaboration.

Historic Partnership for Rural Well-being
Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) and Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 16 July 2026 at Gaya, Bihar, for strengthening Food, Nutrition, Health & WASH (FNHW) interventions under DAY-NRLM.

State-Level Steering Committee Reviews Progress of Lakhpati Didi Initiative
A State-Level Steering Committee meeting on the Lakhpati Didi Initiative was held today at the ArSRLM State Mission Management Unit (SMMU) Conference Hall, Itanagar, under the chairmanship of Dr. Sonal Swaroop, IAS, Secretary (Rural Development & Panchayati Raj), Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various line departments and key stakeholders, including: Deputy Director, Department of Agriculture, Deputy Director, Department of Skill Development,Director, Department of Horticulture,Chief Executive Officer, Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board (APAMB,District Veterinary Officer, Itanagar, Other departmental representatives and stakeholders.
The meeting emphasized priority support for identified Potential Lakhpati Didis through stronger convergence across departments, targeted skill development, entrepreneurship promotion, and improved market access opportunities including Mission Arun Himveer.
Together, we move forward towards sustainable livelihoods and socio-economic empowerment of rural women across Arunachal Pradesh.

Creating Opportunities | Empowering Rural Youth

The Arunachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) successfully organized a Mass Career Counselling cm Job Offer Letter Distribution Programme under DDU-GKY at Itanagar.

A total of 397 trained candidates received job offer letters, marking a major milestone towards expanding employment opportunities and strengthening livelihoods for rural youth.

The programme brought together employers, Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs), government officials and aspiring youth to strengthen industry linkage and career pathways.

Participating employers included Gokuldas Exports Pvt. Ltd., Revermist Resorts, Clarks Inn, Papaya Tree, Flechazo, Hotel Regalia, Corinthians Resorts, Adani Group, Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd., Soge Restro, Hotel Donyi Polo and Hotel Todo, who conducted interviews and selected candidates based on skills and job readiness.

Selected candidates secured opportunities across Karnataka, Goa, Dehradun, Indore, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Pune and Itanagar.

ArSRLM extends appreciation to all employer partners and stakeholders for supporting sustainable employment and youth empowerment.

She Rides
A 30-Day Two-Wheeler Driving training programme where Shg women learned Safe and Confident Riding, Promoting Independence And Better Community Engagement.

Smart Didi
A 7-Day Computer training program equipping women cadres with essential Digital and Office Management Skills for Effective Grassroots Work.
Certificates Were Distributed to Successful Trainees, Marking Another Milestone Towards Women-Led Rural Transformation in Sagalee Block.
Special Appreciation to the entire BMMU Sagalee Team for Their Commitment to women's empowerment and Capacity Building.
