Under the leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand, the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur, organized a Felicitation Ceremony at Ideal Blind School, Takyel, to honour the students of Ideal Blind School and Govt. Deaf & Mute School, Takyel, who successfully cleared the HSLC Examination 2026.

📢 Public Notice

Under the leadership of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand, the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur, invites eligible Senior Citizens to apply under the Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme (MOAPS) through their concerned District Social Welfare Office.

🗓️ Last date for submission: 10th June, 2026
The application form can be downloaded from the Department's official website. Applicants are requested to submit their applications along with all requisite documents within the stipulated period.

Further, pension amounts under MOAPS (September 2025 – February 2026) and IGNOAPS (July 2024 – June 2025) will be released after 10th June, 2026.
The Directorate requests the cooperation of all concerned and encourages eligible beneficiaries to apply within the deadline.

Under the ICDS Project Thoubal, hot cooked meals were distributed to children at various Anganwadi Centres as part of the ongoing supplementary nutrition initiative. The programme continues to promote proper nutrition, hygiene, health, and overall well-being among children through regular nutritional support services.

Cyberbullying and online harassment are not just harmful to mental and emotional wellbeing, they are also punishable offences under the law. Hate messages, threats, fake rumours, trolling, stalking, bullying or sharing abusive content online can have serious consequences on individuals, especially women and children.

The Department of Social Welfare urges everyone to use social media responsibly and help create a safer, kinder and more respectful online environment.

If you experience cyberbullying or online harassment, avoid reacting emotionally, collect screenshots or proofs, block/report the account and seek support from trusted people. Serious cases can be reported through the National Cybercrime Helpline: 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in.

Women facing online harassment can also seek support through Women Helpline: 181.

The Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur, successfully conducted the HUB Recruitment Examination for various posts under the State Hub for Empowerment of Women and District Hub for Empowerment of Women across different examination centres in the State.

The examination was conducted smoothly at the hill district centres including Ukhrul, Kangpokpi, Senapati, and Churachandpur, followed by centres in the valley districts at GP Women’s College, Imphal College, CC Higher Secondary School, Maharaja Bodhchandra College, and Wangkhei High School, Imphal.

Despite the prevailing tense situation in certain parts of the State, the dedication, coordinated efforts, and tireless hard work of the Department made the successful conduct of the examination possible. The entire examination process was carried out peacefully and systematically with the active support of all concerned authorities.

The Department expresses its sincere appreciation to all officials, examination staff, invigilators, district administrations, and security forces whose cooperation, commitment, and support ensured the smooth and successful ex*****on of the examination across all centres.

The Directorate also extends gratitude to all candidates for their discipline, patience, and cooperation throughout the examination process.
