GST & FSSAI Registration Gain Greater Importance for Businesses in Ladakh
The Administration of UT Ladakh has introduced a significant Ease of Doing Business measure under which establishments having a valid GST Registration will be treated as having a deemed municipal trade licence for general trade activities.
Similarly, establishments engaged in food and health-related activities having a valid FSSAI Licence will be treated as having a deemed municipal health trade licence, wherever applicable.
The move will reduce duplicate licensing requirements and promote formalisation, transparency and ease of compliance for businesses across Ladakh.
Businesses are advised to ensure that their GST Registration and, wherever applicable, FSSAI Licence are valid, active and updated.
