On the auspicious occasion of the 76th birthday of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes on behalf of the Government and the people of Sikkim.

I would like to mention here that the invaluable guidance, support and patronage of the Hon'ble Prime Minister has been a great source of hope and confidence for us. During his gracious presence at the closing ceremony of Sikkim’s Golden Jubilee of Statehood, his appreciation of Sikkim’s pristine natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, tourism potential and achievements across various sectors was a source of immense encouragement and pride for our people. His special affection for Sikkim and the Northeast, along with his continued guidance and support, is deeply cherished.

We remain grateful for his steadfast commitment to the development and prosperity of the Northeast and his inspiring vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047.” The successful hosting of the BRICS Summit has further marked a significant milestone in India’s growing global stature.

On this special day, I pray to the Almighty for his good health, long life, happiness, strength and boundless energy to continue serving the nation with unwavering dedication. May the years ahead bring many more milestones in India’s journey towards a Viksit Bharat, with Sikkim and the entire Northeast progressing towards greater peace, prosperity and development, and may we always be blessed with his invaluable guidance, affection and blessings.

Heartiest congratulations to Team India on winning the Women’s T20 Asia Cup Championship 2026.

Their outstanding performance has made the entire nation proud and stands as a powerful inspiration for our youth, especially our daughters. May they continue to dream big, break barriers and script many more glorious chapters of success and excellence for India.

Met with members of the Indrajatra Celebration Committee, Sikkim Newar Guthi, in preparation for the upcoming State-Level Indrajatra celebration to be held at Manan Kendra.

Indrajatra is a vibrant celebration that reflects the rich cultural heritage, traditions and community spirit of the Newar community. It is heartening to see the community coming together to preserve, promote and pass on these cherished traditions to future generations.

I extended my warmest greetings and best wishes to the entire Newar community for a grand and successful celebration. May this year’s Indrajatra bring joy, prosperity and togetherness, while further strengthening our shared commitment to preserving Sikkim’s diverse cultural heritage.

Met and extended my best wishes to the 15 young athletes from Sikkim who will represent the State at the 37th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship in various categories which is scheduled to be held in Patna, Bihar, from September 22–24, 2026.

Their qualification reflects their hard work, dedication and sporting talent. I wish the entire contingent a successful championship and hope they will compete with confidence and bring laurels to Sikkim.
