New Product Launch | Duga BDS Office | 28.07.2026

We are proud to announce the launch of Ready-to-Eat and Ready-to-Cook food products under Duga BDS!

The products were launched at Duga BDS Office by Mr. Chopel Bhutia, BDO Duga in the presence of Smt. Bidya Biswakarma, Chairperson BPM Duga Mr. Robin Acharya, BP Mr. Binod Pradhan, APM and Mr. Gopal Dhakal, CHO Rangpo.

The premium product range includes:
Sattu, Tea, Masala, Buckwheat Flour, Millet Flour, Local Dal, Pickle and more — all with proper branding and hygienic packaging to promote local livelihoods and market linkage for SHGs.

This initiative aims to support SHG entrepreneurs and bring authentic, nutritious, and locally sourced food products to the market.

Diarrhoea Awareness Campaign | BDS Duga | 28.07.2026

An awareness program on Diarrhoea Prevention and Management was organized today at BDS Duga Office in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Sikkim.

We were glad to have Mr. Gopal Dhakal, Community Health Officer from Ranpo PHC, as the resource person for the session.

The program was attended by Ward Resource Persons, Block Resource Persons, Leaders from all WDS, Block Project Manager Mr. Robin Acharya, and all BDS staff.

The session focused on causes, prevention, ORS usage, hygiene practices, and early treatment of diarrhoea to ensure healthy communities in Duga Block.

A big thank you to the Health Department and all participants for making the campaign successful. 🙏

Monthly Meeting of Block Development Society, Duga | 27.07.2026

The Monthly Meeting of BDS Duga was successfully held today at Duga BDS Office.
The meeting was chaired by Block Project Manager Mr. Robin Acharyain the presence of Assistant Project Manager Mr. Binod Pradhan, Shri Amrendra Dahal, BDS President, Secretary, Chairperson Smt. Bidya Biswakarma, all Executive Committee Members, WRPs and BRPs.

Key Discussions:
1. Review of WRP & BRP performance and assignment of next month tasks
2. Demand & collection of loan and repayment status
3. Loan process and dispersal procedure
4. PMFME Product status
5. Planning for upcoming AGM
6. SHG & WDS Audit and post-audit follow up
7. WDS & SHG cut entry on MIS
8. Training and capacity building of SHGs
The BPM emphasized working as per guidelines and timely submission of reports for smooth implementation of activities.
We remain committed to strengthening SHGs and community institutions in Duga Block.

District Level Meeting with DC Pakyong | 2026

A key meeting was held today with District Collector, Pakyong, Madam. Pari Bishnoi along with Non-Farm Sakhi and CRP-SVEP members of Pakyong District.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Rajen Sharma, BPM SRLM Pakyong and Mr. Robin Acharya, BPM SRLM Duga Block.

Key Discussions:
1. Various interventions under Sikkim Inspires
2. Strengthening the role of Enterprise Groups
3. Future strategies for livelihood promotion and enterprise development in the district

The interaction focused on enhancing support for rural enterprises, expanding market linkages, and building sustainable livelihood opportunities for SHG members and entrepreneurs.

DUGA Block successfully conducted the written examinations for the posts of BDS Manager and BDS Accountant under SRLM. Out of the 6 shortlisted candidates, six appeared for the examination. The process was carried out smoothly, fairly, and transparently, and the answer scripts have been submitted to the BDO, Duga for evaluation.

We extend our best wishes to all the candidates and reaffirm our commitment to strengthening grassroots institutions through a transparent and merit-based selection process.

Inauguration of Livelihood Service Centre at sajong under Budang Kameray GPU, Duga Block
We are delighted to share that the Livelihood Service Centre under the Integrated Farming Cluster at Budang Kameray GPU, Duga Block, Pakyong District was formally inaugurated today.
The centre was inaugurated by Smt. Bidya Biswakarma, Hon'ble Chairperson, Cooperation Department, Govt of Sikkim.
