“Discipline in warm-up prevents disaster in workout”

Under the Guidance and Supervision of Principal Police Training School Manigam SSP Sh. Zubair Ahmad Khan – JKPS, a comprehensive lecture on Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, Nutrition, and Health Care was organized for the BRTC trainees. The session was conducted by Dr. Tahir Ahmad ( PMO PTS Manigam ), who shared valuable insights aimed at enhancing the overall physical fitness, resilience, and well-being of the trainees.
During the lecture, Dr. Tahir emphasized the importance of injury prevention during rigorous training activities, highlighting proper warm-up techniques, correct posture, and the use of appropriate equipment. Practical guidance was provided on how to minimize the risk of common training-related injuries and to maintain physical readiness.
The session also covered essential aspects of rehabilitation, stressing the need for timely medical attention, adequate rest, and structured recovery protocols to ensure quick and safe return to training after injuries.

A detailed briefing session of the newly posted Drill Instructors (DIs) was conducted by the Principal Police Training School Manigam, SSP Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan – JKPS, in connection with the ongoing Basic Recruit Training Course (BRTC) of constables.

At the outset, the Principal PTS Manigam underscored the crucial role of Drill Instructors in instilling discipline, physical endurance, and a sense of responsibility among the recruits. The DIs were briefed about the training objectives, expected standards, and the importance of maintaining uniformity, punctuality, and professionalism throughout the course of training.
During the session, the DySP Outdoor Shri Nisar Ahmad and the CDI Inspr. Javid Ahmad presented a comprehensive overview of the ongoing outdoor training programme. They apprised the Principal about various components of the training, including drill practices, physical training schedules, and other outdoor activities being conducted for the recruits. Emphasis was laid on the systematic ex*****on of training modules, ensuring safety measures, and maintaining high standards of discipline on the ground.
The Principal reviewed the progress of the outdoor training programme and issued necessary directions to further enhance the quality and effectiveness of training. Stress was laid on leading by example, close supervision of trainees, and timely assessment of their performance.
An interactive discussion followed, where the newly posted DIs sought clarifications and shared their inputs. A Pipping Ceremony for the newly promoted Head Constable (HC), Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and Sub-Inspector (SI) was held with great pride and dignity at the Police Training School Manigam.

The Ceremony was graced by the Esteemed Principal PTS Manigam Shri. Zubair Ahmad Khan – JKPS , Senior officers, and staff members, who extended their congratulations to the promoted officials on achieving this important milestone in their careers.
The piping of ranks was carried out in a formal and disciplined manner, symbolizing the assumption of higher responsibilities and authority.
In his address, the Principal sir appreciated the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the promoted personnel, emphasizing that the new ranks bring greater responsibilities, leadership roles, and expectations. He urged them to uphold the core values of the police force, maintain integrity, and lead their subordinates with fairness and professionalism.

Under the guidance and supervision of Principal PTS Manigam Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan- SSP , the faculty of Indoor PTSM organised the interaction program with the incoming trainees of the Basic Recruit Training Course (BRTC) at Training School Manigam , aimed at enhancing their understanding, confidence, and professional outlook.
The program provided a constructive platform for trainees to engage directly with the experienced faculty members, discuss their training modules, and seek clarity on various aspects of indoor subjects. Assistant Principal Indoor Sr.PO Shri Farooq Ahmad , Inspr. Hussain Ahmad and other faculty members shared valuable insights on law, procedures, discipline, and the practical application of theoretical knowledge in real-life policing situations.

During the interaction session , emphasis was laid on building a strong foundation in legal studies, improving communication skills, and maintaining professional ethics and integrity. The trainees actively participated, raised pertinent questions, and expressed their views, making the session lively and productive.

The event was marked by warmth and respect, with officers, staff members, and other officials gathered to express their gratitude and admiration for the retiring officials. On this special occasion, employees who had retired in the previous months were also cordially invited, making the event even more inclusive and memorable.
The Principal Police Training School Manigam, Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan- SSP along with senior officers, highlighted the exemplary service records of retirees, appreciating their commitment, discipline, and the positive impact they had on the institution. Today, Shri Sheikh Junaid Mehmood - IPS , the Deputy Inspector General of Police IRP Kashmir visited Police Training School Manigam to review and assess the overall preparedness in connection with the ongoing Basic Recruit Training Course (BRTC) of constables. The officer has been designated as Nodel Officer/Mentor for PTS Manigam by PHQ for this purpose.

The visit commenced with a ceremonial salute at the Quarter Guard. During the visit, the DIG sir conducted a comprehensive inspection of the training infrastructure, including classrooms , parade grounds, barracks, mess facilities, and other essential amenities.. He was briefed in detail about the developmental works and training facilities by the Principal PTS Manigam Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan- JKPS, SSP.
The DIG expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the training school administration for the smooth conduct of the BRTC. He appreciated the dedication of the training staff and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of discipline, physical fitness, and professional competence among the recruits. He also highlighted the need to focus on modern policing techniques, human rights awareness, and community-oriented policing.
While acknowledging the efforts of the training school, the DIG provided valuable suggestions aimed at further improving the training environment and ensuring optimal utilization of available resources. He stressed the importance of continuous monitoring, regular feedback, and adaptation to evolving policing challenges.
The visit concluded with a briefing session, where the Principal, Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan- SSP, apprised the DIG of the ongoing training programs, challenges faced, and measures being undertaken to address them.

Today a preparatory meeting was conducted at the Conference Hall of Police Training School Manigam under the chairmanship of Principal PTS Manigam Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan- SSP, in connection with the forthcoming recruitment batch. The meeting was attended by Assistant Principal Adm. , Asst. Principal Indoor/Outdoor , Other faculty members, administrative staff, and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held regarding the arrangements to be put in place for the smooth induction and training of the new recruits. Key aspects such as training schedules, accommodation, messing facilities, discipline, security arrangements, medical support, and availability of training equipment were thoroughly reviewed.
The Principal emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of training, discipline, and overall administration. All staff members were sensitized about their respective duties and responsibilities to ensure effective implementation of the training program. Special stress was laid on maintaining proper coordination among different sections to avoid any inconvenience to the trainees.
Necessary instructions were issued to complete all preparatory arrangements well in advance. The Principal also directed AP Adm., AP Outdoor/Indoor that regular inspections be conducted to ensure readiness of infrastructure and facilities.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to ensure that the upcoming recruitment batch is provided with a well-organized, disciplined, and conducive training environment....

Our heartfelt condolences to the family of deceased HC Gh. Hassan Sheikh of Margund Kangan who left this world after a prolonged illness. The whole staff of the PTS prays for the eternal peace of the deceased and may Allah grant him jannah.

The deceased will always be remembered for his dedication and Kindness. His absence will be deeply felt by all of us.

May the Almighty grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to the family to bear this irreparable loss..

We the entire family of Police Training School Manigam, extend our heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of the beloved Mother of our colleague Inspr. Manzoor Ahmad, who passed away after a brief illness.

This irreparable loss has left us all deeply saddened. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family. We pray that the Almighty grants eternal peace to the departed soul and bestows strength, courage, and patience upon the family to bear this immense loss.

Words may not suffice to express the sorrow we feel, but we stand united in sharing the grief of our colleague and offer our full support in this hour of distress. May cherished memories of the departed bring comfort and solace to the family in the days ahead.

Today, with mixed emotions of pride and nostalgia, the Police Training School Manigam family gathers to bid a heartfelt farewell to Mr. Bashir Ahmad on the occasion of his superannuation . The event witnessed the presence of senior officers and colleagues who gathered to celebrate his exemplary services and dedication.

Throughout his years of service, he has been the silent strength behind our daily functioning. Though his role may not always have been in the spotlight, but his contribution has been invaluable. With discipline, punctuality, , and unwavering commitment, he carried out his responsibilities with honesty and dedication.
In every task assigned—whether supporting training activities, assisting staff and trainees, or ensuring smooth functioning of the campus—he worked with sincerity and a smile. His respectful behaviour, cooperative nature, and positive attitude earned him the affection and respect of officers, staff, and trainees alike.

Service is not measured merely by designation, but by dedication—and he has truly set an example of loyal service. His journey reminds us that every role in an institution plays a vital part in building its strength and reputation.
