Healthcare technology company HealthEdge has expanded its Thiruvananthapuram operations with a new 162,000 sq. ft. campus at Brigade Square, Technopark Phase I.

Spread across 11 floors, the facility can accommodate around 1500 employees and brings together teams across Engineering, Product Development, Technology, Client Services, Operations and Corporate Functions.

The campus was inaugurated by Seeram Sambasiva Rao IAS, Special Secretary, Electronics & IT Department, Government of Kerala, in the presence of Sandeep Kumar IAS, CEO, Technopark, along with industry leaders.

HealthEdge CEO Kevin Adams described the expansion as a long-term commitment to Thiruvananthapuram, highlighting the city’s strong technology talent, infrastructure and growing appeal to multinational companies and Global Capability Centres.

The expansion marks another significant addition to Technopark’s global technology ecosystem and further strengthens Keralam's position as an emerging destination for technology, innovation and global business operations.

With India’s first dedicated State AI portfolio, Kerala is strengthening its public technology ecosystem. C-DIT’s new ICT Complex at Pattom now houses dedicated AI and Cyber Security Labs for secure, future-ready digital governance.

As Kerala becomes the first State in India to create a dedicated Artificial Intelligence portfolio in the government, C-DIT is strengthening the institutional and technological infrastructure needed to translate this vision into public solutions. The AI portfolio is held by Shri P. K. Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries & Commerce, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Startups.

C-DIT’s new ICT Complex at Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, is now operational, with dedicated Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security Labs inaugurated as part of the new facility.

The new labs will strengthen C-DIT’s capabilities in AI-enabled governance, secure digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, data-driven public services and the development of government-owned technology solutions.

The ICT Complex and the new technology facilities were inaugurated by Shri P. K. Kunhalikutty, underscoring the Government of Kerala’s growing focus on AI and emerging technologies as a core part of its IT and digital-governance agenda. Kerala has already been building this ecosystem through initiatives such as K-AI, aimed at accelerating AI adoption in governance and public service.

The event also marked the release of ‘Arali’, C-DIT’s new in-house Malayalam display font, extending its contribution to Malayalam computing and digital typography.

With its new ICT Complex, AI Lab and Cyber Security Lab, C-DIT is positioning itself for the next generation of Kerala’s digital transformation — building public technology that is intelligent, secure and developed around the needs of government and citizens.

The GCC Workplace Innovation Summit & Awards 2026 in Bengaluru brought together 550+ Global Capability Centres, IT Secretaries from leading states, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners.

Representing the Government of Kerala, Shri Sambasiva IAS, Special Secretary (Electronics & IT), delivered the Special Address at the inaugural session, participated in the inter-state leadership dialogue "From Investment Destination to Innovation Ecosystem" alongside the IT Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, and joined an exclusive closed-door roundtable with GCC leaders on shaping India's next GCC destinations.

Kerala was not just part of the conversation - we were there to shape it. The summit provided a strategic platform to engage with 550+ GCCs, showcase Kerala's evolving technology ecosystem, gather industry insights for the State's GCC strategy, and build relationships with enterprises planning their next phase of growth in India.

As Kerala accelerates its GCC vision, these engagements reinforce our commitment to building a globally competitive, innovation-driven ecosystem backed by strong policy support, world-class talent, and future-ready infrastructure.

Kerala is ready to power the next wave of Global Capability Centres.

This week, the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, hosted 'Quantum Leap: Applications Across Industry & Research, bringing together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and academia to deliberate on the transformative potential of quantum technologies.

Shri Sambasiva IAS, Secretary, Electronics & IT, Government of Kerala, addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of fostering innovation, strengthening research capabilities, and enabling collaboration across government, academia, startups, and industry to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies. He also emphasized Kerala’s commitment to building a future-ready ecosystem that supports advanced research, education and technology-driven growth. Dr. Vijay Anand Ramanujan, CEO, Foundation for QC Innovation, talked about the work of the National Quantum Mission, its objectives and road map.

The session featured distinguished experts, including Colonel Sai Shankar P (Retd.), Founder & Director, QClairvoyance, who shared valuable insights into practical applications of quantum computing across sectors. The programme was organized by Dr. Jacob George (NIT) and served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The future is Quantum and such initiatives play an important role in supporting India’s National Quantum Mission by fostering innovation, nurturing talent, and strengthening partnerships that will shape the adoption and future of quantum technologies in Kerala.
