A higher ceiling. Enhanced Social Security

Effective from Vishwakarma Jayanti, 2026 the EPF wage ceiling has been revised from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month, bringing more employees within the ambit of EPF social security coverage.

With an expanded EPFO’s social security net, more employees will gain access to pension protection under EPS and insurance protection under the EDLI Scheme, strengthening their retirement security.

A major step towards stronger retirement security and Viksit Bharat@2047.
The Union Cabinet has approved the enhancement of the EPF wage ceiling from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month.

The second day of the 16th RD & ROC Conference focused on strengthening MCA’s field-office capacity and advancing next-generation reforms.

Day 1 | 16th RD & ROC Conference | Kochi

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs successfully concluded the 16th RD & ROC Conference, held in Kochi, Keralam, on 10th & 11th September 2026, bringing together all 10 Regional Directors and 31 Registrars of Companies (ROCs)/ROC-cum-Official Liquidators (OLs) from across the country.

The Conference was inaugurated and chaired by the Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and attended by the Additional Secretary, Joint Secretaries, Director General of Corporate Affairs, and senior officers from the Ministry and its field offices across the country.

Day 1 focused on process reforms and regulatory coordination, with key discussions on:

🔹 Reduction, simplification and rationalisation of e-Forms and associated Rules.

🔹 Review of progress on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for non-STP e-Forms.

🔹 Enforcement interface between MCA and IBBI arising from IBC matters.

🔹 Special Review of the PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) with RDs and RoCs.

🔹 Secretary, Corporate Affairs interaction with interns during special event.

The discussions reaffirmed MCA’s continued commitment to procedural simplification, regulatory efficiency, stakeholder facilitation and ease of doing business.
