Parking facilities at Nizamuddin and Adchini will be completed in a couple of months.
GK I M Block parking project will require 16-18 months.
Approval from SDMC’s standing committee has been sought for parking projects at Amar Colony, GK II and Punjabi Bagh cremation ground.
NDMC targets to complete 5 major multi-level parking projects at Gandhi Maidan (Chandni Chowk), Qutub Road, Shiva Market, Nigambodh and Church Mission Road by June 2022.
Four multi-level parking projects in Karol Bagh zone are likely to be completed in 24 months.

Beginning December, there will be curbs on purchase of additional vehicles in Delhi without parking space for them. If the space allowed to a house is saturated, then the owners will have to wait till a vehicle gets sold or if the current vehicle outlives its 15-year lifetime for a new car.

Another proof of the mess we've created in the name of progress, and why we need a central expert task force to holistically take a strategic view of the challenges and opportunities for parking in India:

“While some markets like the one in Greater Kailash, and Defence Colony have parking, the ones in Hauz Khas and those on Aurobindo Road in Green Park are so cramped that it causes traffic snarls… If a fire breaks out, there is no space for fire tenders to pass,” said an official. Recently, the Delhi High Court had also said that Hauz Khas Village is “a ticking time bomb”. The court had said that the SDMC, Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Services and other agencies had allowed commercialisation of the area, leading to public nuisance and health hazards.

There are over 2,000 licenced restaurants in south Delhi, spread across areas such as Green Park, Hauz Khas, Greater Kailash I and II, and Saket. Restaurants have to get a health licence from the civic body, for which they pay Rs 10,000 a year.
