, in a virtual interaction convened by Shri Vikramjit Singh, IPS, Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce, J&K, presented a unified industry perspective on the economic challenges emerging from the ongoing West Asia conflict.
Representing the business community, Mr. Vicky, Chairman, PHDCCI Kashmir, and Mr. Rakesh Wazir, Chairman, PHDCCI Jammu Region, highlighted the adverse impact on Jammu & Kashmir’s industrial and trade ecosystem. The meeting was also attended by Shri Arun Kumar Manhas, JKAS, Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu, along with industry stakeholders and trade representatives from across the Union Territory. Acknowledging the concerns raised, the Commissioner Secretary assured participants that issues related to logistics support, gas allocation, solar incentives, and power availability would be taken up with the concerned ministries and departments.
The interaction concluded with a shared commitment between the government and industry to work collaboratively towards mitigating the crisis, safeguarding businesses, and enhancing the long-term resilience and sustainability of J&K's industrial sector.
