Public Health Centre Public Health Center(PHC) West Mambalam, Chennai India PHC works with a mission to make medical care affordable to all. Profit is not our driving force.

Started in 1953 under the stellar leadership of Sri. MC Subrahmanyam, a Gandhian and a social worker to cater to the health needs of the area. After nearly 60 years in service, PHC has grown to remarkable proportions thanks to the tireless work of generations of volunteers. A need based expansion saw PHC adding blocks or wings to its doors. The Outpatient block, In patient block, Neurology block a

nd the recent exclusive pediatric block were all possible due to the generosity of patrons over the years. To make the treatment affordable and provide reliable medical care to the needy is the vision and mission of the hospital. All the treatments are run at subsidized rates, the medicines are at a fraction of the cost and we frequently run free medical campaigns. PHC does not receive any direct subsidy from the state or central governments. Some concessions like the sales tax exemption, exemption for stamp duty and IT 80G exemption is provided. This is the centenary year celebrations for our founder Sri M C Subhramanyam. In memory and honour of the legacy he has passed on to us, we are working towards building the PHC Heart Foundation and the PHC Knee Replacement Foundation. We welcome like minded patrons and donors to help us in this mission.
