Tamil Nadu’s AI Pavilion at the India AI Impact Summit 2026!
The Information Technology and Digital Services Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, led the State’s participation at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, with Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (ELCOT) piloting ex*****on and coordinating collaborative efforts with Guidance Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency, Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT) , Tamil Virtual Academy TN, ICT Academy and StartupTN.
The Pavilion also created opportunities for numerous key meetings and ecosystem interactions, enabling market access conversations for startups with industry stakeholders, institutions, and prospective partners. In parallel, major strategic dialogues and AI-focused panel discussions were facilitated during the summit, strengthening Tamil Nadu’s visibility in the national AI discourse. As part of this coordinated effort, 20 startups from Tamil Nadu were enabled to participate and showcase their AI-led innovations on a national platform.
Guidance Tamil Nadu led strategic investment dialogues for the State with key industry players, including Eros, Sarvam AI, NVIDIA, and others, to further strengthen Tamil Nadu’s AI investment pipeline.
The Tamil Nadu AI Pavilion provided structured visibility for innovators while enabling meaningful engagement with policymakers, industry leaders, and investors. ELCOT also co-executed a thematic session with Guidance Tamil Nadu, highlighting infrastructure readiness, industry integration, and investment pathways that support Tamil Nadu’s deployment-oriented AI strategy.
The Pavilion witnessed visits and active engagement from key leadership, including Thiru S Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India; Thiru Brajendra Navnit, IAS, Principal Secretary, Information Technology and Digital Services Department, Government of Tamil Nadu; and Thiru K P Karthikeyan, IAS, Managing Director, ELCOT, along with other senior officials, who interacted with participating startups and ecosystem partners at the Pavilion.
A key highlight at the Pavilion was the demonstration of TNeGA’s AI-enabled WhatsApp-based governance services, showcasing Tamil Nadu’s citizen-centric digital public infrastructure and its scalable approach to AI adoption in governance.
The Tamil Nadu AI Pavilion reflects the State’s continued commitment to enabling innovation, accelerating adoption, and shaping the future of AI-led growth.
