Vijay Inaugurates New MLA Office in Perambur, Strengthens Grassroots Governance
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Perambur MLA C. Joseph Vijay inaugurated his newly renovated MLA office in Perambur, marking an important step toward improving accessibility between elected representatives and the public. The office has been designed as a dedicated public service centre where residents can submit grievances, seek assistance, and access government services more efficiently.
The inauguration was held during Vijay's first official constituency visit after assuming office as Chief Minister. Alongside the opening of the MLA office, he launched the State-wide ration card distribution programme by handing over the first set of ration cards to eligible beneficiaries. He also introduced a constituency mobile application aimed at simplifying grievance redressal and enhancing communication between citizens and the local administration.
According to officials, the revamped MLA office has been equipped to provide easier access to public services, including assistance with certificates, welfare schemes, and other government-related requests. The initiative reflects the government's focus on bringing governance closer to the people and ensuring quicker resolution of public issues.
During his visit, Vijay interacted with local residents, reviewed welfare initiatives, and inspected nearby public infrastructure, including the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus depot. The visit highlighted the government's commitment to improving civic facilities and accelerating development projects in the Perambur constituency.
The opening of the new MLA office is expected to serve as a permanent public outreach centre, reinforcing Vijay's emphasis on accessible governance, direct citizen engagement, and efficient delivery of government services to the people of Perambur.
