A unique section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a state of art project passing through Mandsaur, Ratlam & Jhabua districts of Madhya Pradesh covering 244.5 Km costing ₹ 8,437.11 Cr. It is being constructed in 9 packages with an average 71.68% work has been completed till date. The ongoing work is as per schedule and will be completed by Nov 2022.
This road will be the cornerstone of development of the region. It will provide excellent connectivity to industrial hubs of Mandsaur, Ratlam, Jhabua and also to cities of tourist attractions such as Ujjain, Maheshwar and Indore. The expressway will boost the logistics in western MP region enabling farmers of Mandsaur and Ratlam districts to export their crops to other markets in less time. It will also enhance interstate logistics efficiency.
6 Wayside Amenities have been proposed 5 WSA under construction in this section. Facilities such as Trauma center, Restaurant, Dormitory, Motel, Travel Desk, Food Court, Petrol Pump, Helipad, Repair & Workshop building will enhance and facilitate overall travel experience of commuters.
