Attended preliminary level training program as part of Civil Defence Changanassery Unit for volunteers conducted by the authorities of Fire & Rescue, Changanassery Office.
The training was intended to impart basic knowledge and measures of protecting and rescuing during emergency situations. Method of using Fire Extinguishers according to classes of Fire, Reef knot, hitch knot, bowline knot, First Aids especially CPR & Choking, Rescue methods like Toe drag, Tunnel Rescue, Pick a bag, Fireman’s lift, Hazchem codes and its relevance, Measures to be taken in case of Fire occurring from LPG cylinder were the major highlights of the syllabus. All of us were lucky to get practical sessions from Nobin Sir, Prasant Sir, Thaha Sir and all other officials who took there efforts for the program. Special thanks to Sunil Joseph Sir for giving us valuable sessions in between his busy schedules and giving opportunity to familiarise the MTU and it’s equipment.
