A State Level Special Vendor Development Program (SLSVDP) for SC-ST Micro & Small Enterprises was successfully organized on 11th March 2026 at Hotel Radhika Regency, Rourkela, Odisha by the National SC-ST Hub Office, Bhubaneswar in association with Odisha Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises (OASME). The program brought together SC-ST entrepreneurs, representatives from leading CPSEs such as Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL–RSP), NTPC SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL), National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), along with officials from Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO) and State Bank of India. The event aimed to create a common platform for buyers and SC-ST MSE vendors to explore procurement opportunities, discuss challenges in public procurement, and strengthen a sustainable supply chain ecosystem. The sessions covered CPSE procurement processes, MSME support schemes, GeM onboarding process and financial assistance, followed by an interactive B2B meet and open forum where entrepreneurs engaged directly with CPSE representatives to address issues and identify new business opportunities. The program encouraged greater participation of SC-ST MSEs in the public procurement ecosystem and capacity development initiatives.
