On 16.12.2024, at 13:50 hrs, acting on a tip-off, Krishnaganj PS intercepted an auto (WB-51B-6881) at Taldaha Majdia Road near Majdia Biswaspara. During the operation, 1000 sealed bottles of Phensedyl cough syrup (100 ml each) were recovered. Three accused—Riju Ghosh (27), Sudip Ghosh (23), and Biswajit Swarnakar (28), all of PS Krishnaganj, Nadia—were arrested. The operation, conducted by Shri Sougata Ray (IC, Krishnaganj PS) and Smt. Shilpi Paul (Dy. SP, IUCAW, KPD), followed NDPS Act protocols. Three mobile phones and the auto were seized. A case was registered under Krishnaganj PS Case No. 486/24 dated 16.12.2024 U/S 21(c)/29 NDPS Act.

Based on a tip-off from the SOG and KPD, a truck (registration number WB19L/1616) traveling from the Berhampore side was intercepted at Mira Bus Stand tonight. During the operation, 90 kg of g***a was recovered from the truck in the presence of Dy. SP (D&T) Sir. A total of nine individuals were arrested, and a black Scorpio, which was escorting the truck, was also seized. A specific case is being registered vide Kaliganj PS case no- 1095/24 dated 14.12.2024 U/S- 20(b)(ii)(C)/25/29 NDPS Act.

On 07.12.2024, a police team from Chapra PS, acting on a tip-off, raided a secluded spot near Chhoto Andulia Anchalikpara Dhal on Hridaypur Road under Chapra PS, Nadia. They arrested three individuals namely Kamal Shaikh (30),
Samad Sekh (58) both residents of Pathuria Paschimpara, PS Chapra, Nadia and Jakarul Sekh (26) of Gokhurapota, PS Chapra, Nadia.
One improvised firearm resembling a revolver with one .380 caliber ammunition marked "KF 13," was seized during the raid.
The operation was conducted between 22:35 and 23:20 hrs on 07/12/24. Based on this complaint a case (Chapra PS Case No. 1241/24 dated 08.12.2024) has been registered U/S- 310(4)/310(5) BNS Act and U/S- 25(1)(a) Arms Act.
