On 10th September 2026, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) organized a programme at Abhaynagar 1 No. Anganwadi Centre (AWC) under the Hrisyamukh ICDS Project, South Tripura District, focusing on dowry and sex-based discrimination. Alongside this, a plantation drive under BBBP (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao) was also conducted, symbolizing growth, equality, and a greener future.

The event was attended by the ICDS Supervisor, District Mission Co-ordinator, Gender Specialist, PMMVY Operator, along with students and parents. On 10th July, 2026, the Sakhi Niwas (Working Women Hostel) was inaugurated at the Shelter House near the Sports Office, Sabroom, South Tripura, under the Mission Shakti Scheme, marking a significant step towards promoting women's safety, empowerment, and economic independence in the region.
The Sakhi Niwas (Working Women Hostel) was inaugurated by Sri Dipak Datta, Hon'ble Sabhadhipati, South Tripura Zilla Parishad, in the gracious presence of Sri Sankar Roy, Former MLA, Sabroom, Shri L. Hrangchal, Director of Social Welfare & Social Education, Government of Tripura, Shri Suman Raksh*t, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Sabroom, and Shri Prabir Debbarma, District Inspector of Social Education (DISE), South Tripura. On 19th January 2026, as part of the 100-day special awareness campaign under Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), South Tripura, organized a Sub-Divisional level sensitisation programme at Mukut Auditorium Hall, Santirbazar. The event highlighted the collective commitment to eliminate child marriage and promote child rights, with the Hon’ble Chairperson of Santirbazar Municipal Council, the CEO, the Child Welfare Committee Chairperson, and the District Mission Coordinator gracing the occasion. Their presence underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in building a safer and more empowered future for children.

On 6th December 2025, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, South Tripura District, organized an awareness programme on the Domestic Violence Act 2005 and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Haripur CLF Office,Hrishyamuk. The District Mission Coordinator, DRP of TRLM, CLF members, and other dignitaries were present, and the event successfully highlighted the importance of safeguarding women’s rights and promoting gender equality.
