Attended a Club and NGO Representatives’ Meeting at Hotel Samrat Inn, Tarapith today.

Around 400 members from various clubs and NGOs participated. BJP candidate Shri Nikhil Banerjee was also present along with other dignitaries.

Had meaningful interactions on strengthening grassroots coordination and community efforts.

Yesterday, Club and NGO Pratinidhi Sabha of Asansol Sanghatnik Jila, held at Manorama Marriage Hall, Kulti, was successfully conducted.

Today conducted a meeting in Katwa Sanghatnik District of Club and NGO at Shivtalla, Nadanghat More, Purbo Bardhman

25 major club Presidents were felicitated, and representatives from around 100 clubs attended. The meeting was very fruitful with good coordination and positive response.

किसी भी राज्य की शिक्षा व्यवस्था की आलोचना करना अलग बात है, लेकिन यह कहना कि “अगर हम अपने बच्चों को बंगाल में शिक्षा दिये होते तो आज वो इस मुकाम में नहीं पहुचे होते” सुनकर एक बंगाल के छात्र के रूप में दिल दुखी हो जाता है। मैं भी पश्चिम बंगाल में पढ़ा हुआ एक छात्र हूँ, इसलिए जब ऐसी बात सुनता हूँ तो अंदर से अजीब सा दर्द और उलझन महसूस होती है। क्या सच में यहाँ पढ़ने वाले लाखों छात्र इतने कमजोर हैं? क्या उनकी मेहनत और सपनों की कोई कीमत नहीं है?

क्या कोई अपने बच्चों की सफलता बताने के लिए दुसरे के बच्चे जो अभी भी इस बंगाल मे शिक्षा ले रहें हैं उन्हे नीचा दिखाना आवस्यक है? हर माता-पिता को अपने बच्चों की उपलब्धियों पर गर्व होता है। लेकिन बात कहने का तरीका अलग होना चाहिए था। वह यह भी कह सकते थे कि “हमने अपने बच्चों को बाहर पढ़ाया क्योंकि हमें वहाँ बेहतर exposure और अवसर लगे।” तब यह सिर्फ एक personal choice लगती। लेकिन जब कोई कहता है कि “अगर हम अपने बच्चों को बंगाल में शिक्षा दिये होते तो आज वो इस मुकाम में नहीं पहुचे होते”, तब यह सिर्फ एक परिवार की कहानी नहीं रह जाती, बल्कि ऐसा लगता है जैसे पूरे बंगाल की शिक्षा और यहाँ पढ़ने वाले छात्रों को छोटा दिखाया जा रहा है।

बहुत से छात्रों और अभिभावकों को यह बात दिल से ठेस पहुँचाने वाली लग सकती है।क्योंकि इसी बंगाल से पढ़कर हजारों छात्रों ने देश और दुनिया में नाम कमाया। उदाहरण के लिए Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Jadavpur University और Presidency University Kolkata जैसे संस्थानों से पढ़े छात्र आज दुनिया की बड़ी-बड़ी कंपनियों और शोध संस्थानों में काम कर रहे हैं। इसी बंगाल की खड़गपूर से पढ़कर ही Sundar Pichai जैसे लोग आगे बढ़े।

Bharatiya Janata Party के समर्थक के रूप में मैं चाहता हूँ कि पार्टी बंगाल के लोगों का दिल जीते, उनका सम्मान करे। लेकिन जब ऐसी बातें सुनाई देती हैं तो मन में सवाल उठता है — क्या सच में ऐसी बातें बंगाल में भाजपा को जीत दिला पाएँगी? शायद नहीं, क्योंकि बंगाल के लोग अपनी शिक्षा और बौद्धिक परंपरा पर गर्व करते हैं।

एक समर्थक और बंगाल का छात्र होने के नाते मैं सच में आहत महसूस करता हूँ।
